The National Theatre of Iceland chose Theatron

13.05.2016

We are happy to announce that the National Theatre of Iceland has made a contract for Theatron and the integrated Intranet. Through this contract both Theatron and the Intranet will be translated into Icelandic.

It has been around ten months since we introduced Theatron to the National Theatre of Iceland for the first time and it has been positive discussions ever since which now end up in a signed contract.

"The National Theatre of Iceland has been searching for some time for a suitable software for planning of the theater‘s productions, all events and work times. With Theatron specially developed for theatres we are confident that this is the tool we have been looking for. Additionally the intranet will make it easier to communicate all important information to all our staff in a way we are sure will be a great change and will in a way bring people closer together, as if we were all working in the same room", comments Tinna Lind Gunnarsdóttir from National Theatre of Iceland.

Since its opening in 1950 the National Theatre of Iceland has been the leading institution of the Icelandic theatre scene. The theatre operates five stages producing around thirty productions each year. The National Theatre of Iceland belongs to the Icelandic nation and is funded by the Icelandic Government's Ministry of Education, Science and Culture. The theatre employs about 80 permanent staff but also some 130 temporary personnel throughout the year.
